Poll: Fox most trusted name in news

Poll: Fox most trusted name in news

The Fox News logo is shown.

“A generation ago you would have expected Americans to place their trust in the most neutral and unbiased conveyors of news,” said PPP President Dean Debnam in his analysis of the poll. “But the media landscape has really changed, and now they’re turning more toward the outlets that tell them what they want to hear.”

Wow. How ignorant can we be? A generation ago there was only 3 TV news sources... but DOZENS of newspapers. In 2010 each major city has 1, maybe 2, major papers, but a generation ago you had dozens of completely biased "conveyors of news".

The news (regardless of format) has always been biased.

People bought the newspapers that reported on the issues and topics they wanted to hear about. Duh!

If you want unbiased news read the AP wire. If you want to hear stories that concern you, your values, your interests, your city, turn on the news or read a paper.
