The White House tried Thursday to calm a hubbub over President Barack Obama's comments about a white police officer's arrest of a black scholar near Boston, saying Obama was not calling the officer "stupid."

Obama: "The Cambridge police acted stupidly in arresting somebody when there was already proof that they were in their own home"

Obama's Press Secretary: "Let me be clear, he was not calling the officer stupid"

We gotcha Barack, loud and clear, people acting stupidly are not in fact stupid. So eloquent, so retard.

At least when Bush said something stupid you knew he meant it.

Update: Obama: "I have to say I am surprised by the controversy surrounding my statement,because I think it was a pretty straightforward commentary that you probably don't need to handcuff a guy, a middle-aged man who uses a cane, who's in his own home," Obama said.
