Sotomayor supports the second amendment?

From the Commie News Network: "...she supports the Second Amendment right to bear arms."

"I have friends who hunt" and "understand fully" the Second Amendment right identified in the ruling District of Columbia v. Heller, she said. The recent 5-4 Supreme Court ruling concluded that a sweeping handgun ban in the nation's capital violated Americans' constitutional right to "keep and bear arms."

This year, Sotomayor concurred with a ruling in a case, Maloney v. Cuomo, brought by a New York man who said that a ban on a martial arts weapon constituted an infringement on his right to keep and bear arms. Sotomayor disagreed, noting that states have the authority to regulate weapons under federal law, despite an earlier ruling from the Supreme Court that struck down a handgun ban in the District of Columbia.

You can't say that you support the second amendment, when you believe that the states can override our second amendment rights.

There are worse gun rights judges out there, but she's definitely not good. I haven't heard about any NRA rating for her yet. We'll have to see what they say.
