One thing's for certain though - There are going to be a lot of disenchanted young participants in the political process if the candidate of Hope® and Change® has to make an idiotic run to the middle to govern, much like Clinton in his first term. (Which is, not entirely coincidentally, about when I stopped supporting democrats at the national level.)
NC is blue. Pretty soon tobacco row will be too offensive for the liberals. No need to worry, smoking pot will always be medically necessary for the hippies.

ReplyDeleteAlso, "tobacco row" is one of those terms I never hear someone who actually lives here saying. Kind of like how nobody in Boston ever says "Beantown."
ReplyDeleteI know we'd all like to demonize the left for political correctness. Go tell that to all the hippies running on the American Tobacco Trail right near my house, or all the heroin-addict, mac-using flower arranging Obamabots having drinks, eating dinner, or watching the local NPR station broadcast from the American Tobacco Campus right near my office.
